Key to Lawrence is a fast-paced, page-turning action thriller about the sinking of the Lusitania and how that led to America’s entry into the First World War, or the Great War as it was then called. It’s unusual among mysteries in its setting --- the North Atlantic for the first seventy pages as shown in the picture of a liner moored in Brooklyn today on http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org. Considering how many people have cruised nowadays --- over ten percent of the population ---- that should be a plus. It’s hard to come up with another thriller like it. The Pirate King by Laurie King is the first title that comes to mind.
